A week in the Faroe Islands: Travel Photography

Teaming up with the Faroe Islands tourism board, my team and I embarked on an all-encompassing exploration of this remarkable island chain. Our turbulent flight in was the perfect Faroese welcome, with fierce 50mph winds, thick clouds, and rain lashing sideways - just your typical Monday afternoon in these parts.

In 2022, the Faroe Islands have seen their fair share of the limelight, often showcased in a multitude of photographs that tend to focus solely on the most popular and "Instagrammable" spots. Keen on setting ourselves apart, we aimed to dive deeper and provide a richer context to the island's narrative. This led us to exploring the Faroe Islands' ancient village paths - the very trails that pilgrims and early settlers once tread upon.
